I had always known about Qigong & Tai Chi, but only decided to try it after attending an open house. What struck me was how comprehensive and traditional the training was, with deep roots in Chinese culture. As someone who values that heritage, it resonated with me immediately.
When I started learning, I would come daily five evenings a week, without fail. Then, I started teaching, and it pushed me to understand every detail more deeply—when you teach, you need to know everything inside and out.
The practice has helped me physically too. I do home maintenance and repair work, and the flexibility and balance I’ve gained help me squat, move, and work with ease. To me, Qigong & Tai Chi is better than any medicine. It is universal, and it can apply to anyone, regardless of age or physical fitness levels.
More than anything, I want people to experience it themselves, because no amount of explanation can replace what the body and mind feel when you truly practise.
